Uncovering Turkish Science High School Students' Learning Strategy, Inquiry-Oriented Self-efficacy, Task Value, Achievement Goals: A Structural Equation Modelling Analysis

In the literature, characteristics of students with high skills in subjects science and mathematics are generally examined independently social learning environment. The aim this study was to investigate relationship between achievement goal orientation, inquiry oriented self-efficacy, strategies task value present that various models. This carried out 292 from Science High School (SHS) Turkey 2018-2019 academic year. research, two models were tested relational screening designs as theoretical for used by SHS their inquiry-oriented self-efficacy (IOS) orientations (AG). IOS scale, AG semi-structured interview forms, scale data collection tools. Collected analysed using Multiple Regression Analysis. first model is developed according a which scientific valuable, considering goals chemistry curriculum, while second designed competition test scores valued rather than inquiry. Contrary expectations, it surprising performance orientation (PE) mediated through strategy use, much they explain conceptions score.
